Tutorial part 4 by ChristopherStevens Tutorial part 4 by ChristopherStevens
4. this scan shows the finished raw markers. At this stage I put the markers aside and pick up my paints and color pencils.

The background on this one was done with Copics and just like the figure, I mostly concerned myself with getting the shapes and values in place. Working like this, you have to just go on a little faith that you'll be able to clean it up and make it look like something when it's all done. It won't always be pretty in the raw marker stage.

whats the difference between prismacolor and copics in terms of what they do on paper in your opinion?

I didn't realize you were doing that only with markers o_o that's totally crazy! and if you make a mistake, or there is a dot on the paper, etc?

It looks very digital, that's incredible :)

that's the greatest challenge in traditional art. If you messed up the painting or coloring, then you got a serious problem or worst you destroyed your work.

But with digital you can undo everything and has more flexibility. Digital is pretty good but traditional artists seems to have more impact on me.

Hmm well I think digital is very convenient for people who cannot buy all the paintings/oil/canvas etc, don't have enough space in their flat, like me :XD:
