Description
What 80's kid didn't like Transformers? I didn't stick with them forever like some fans have, but as a kid, Transformers was the bee's knees. Unlike the Turtles though...I hated trying to draw them. They were too hard for me to get right. Painting this reminded me of why I didnt like drawing them, but I was on a nostalgia kick.

I'm in the same boat. All those straight lines...it's hard to draw them. They aren't as organic or smooth...they just don't flow like the lines of animals, like horses or something. Nevertheless, I'm trying to get a couple images of Transformers done, partly because I am a Transformers fan and I also need the challenge. Optimus, being my favorite, is the one I try to take the most time on.
I like what you did here, though. The stark contrast between warm and cold colors seriously pops. And I think you did a spectacular job. I'm still getting used to digital painting and drawing, but I am enjoying it.
