Here's my first official oil painting commission. I was very happy to do a Hulk piece. He's so flexible that he makes for a great subject with any medium.

As with all of my paintings so far, it was a real learning experience. Too many to really name, but early on I thought it was going to be a complete disaster and was relieved to not hate the results. Still a lot of things I havent figured out yet and the painting suffers for it, but one piece at a time. I can see the progress I'm making and thats a big motivator.

I love the colors that oils give, but I haven't figured out a way to showcase that in these scans. More than any other medium I use, oils get hurt the most by my scans. I wish I could share these with everyone in person.

This is amazing! Great job. You've really caught on to this medium. Can't wait to see more!

Also, Sometime photographing paintings looks better. If you have the painting set up straight and 2 light sources each at a 45 degree angle it usually does really well. I'm sure there are tutorials for taking photos of art.
