From the art notes:
This illustration shows a male elf. He has a dark and brooding feel to him, a look of menace and anger on his otherwise handsome face. Thin and lithe, he stands in front of a large female lion with oversized fangs and bony ridges that run down its spine. The lion wears a spiked leather collar.

The elf is dressed in a suit of breastplate armor made of white dragonhide, so it should be scaly looking in places and in others misting with frost. A heavy wooden shield sits on one arm, and in the other hand he grips a scimitar with a black blade that drips black water that turns to steam before it hits the ground. He wears a pale blue cloak, blue silk gloves, and has several belt pouches. A delicate silver longbow protrudes over one of his shoulders.

Thanks Enforcer. I actually did a bunch of stuff for Hero years ago, but had to get out when they started having money problems. Too bad too..that was fun stuff most of the time.

I was inspired when I designed this one. It's all from my head. Usually though, I look at LOTR designs and stuff like that for inspiration. Hopefully, my brains will remain uneaten..did I answer it right or wrong?

Do you have reference armors or is it all in your head.

Very nice details, I love your fantasy work.
In this piece, however, his head/neck seem dispropotionately large compared to his overal frame, especially compared to the length of his arms and the width of his shoulders.
